Violence

Today's comic increases the violence quota from merely "pleasant" to "totally rad". We're still working on the sex, though. Give us a couple of weeks. But in my defense, can you really kill a man who, according to several reliable sources, has been dead for years?

As if that weren't good enough, Mike and I can also use this entry to close the gap on Karl's lead in comic appearances. Always a noble goal.

Nobility

Forget the nobleness of the goal for a moment. The progression of this comic, including my very absence, was entirely my idea. That, my friends, is noble.

Gall

The sheer bald-facedness of the lies Karl tells truly stagger the mind. You, the reading public, are only saved by the fact that, in an uncharacteristic move, I checked my own website for updates.

Gallon of truth

I have only the gall to tell the truth. When I suggested the idea for this comic, I did not give myself any lines. I knew then what I know now: I am not in this comic.

It is a shame that Jonathan should have to force me to repeat this awful truth-that you must go without words of my wit or view of my visage, but it is so. Let us put this somber matter to rest, forever.

Or not...

Regardless of whose idea it was, I do wonder why Karl isn't in the pictures since I recall that a few weeks ago we had nothing for Jonathan to say but someone, who was not me but whose identity eludes my memory for the moment, INSISTED that he had to be in it for continuity's sake. This led to that absolutely stupid picture of him in part 4. Where, oh where, art thou now pointless webcomic continuity hawk?

And an update...

Not that anyone reading this doesnt know already, but since I've been providing updates here we go anyway. Twelve of thirteen coats are now hanging up, though they lack hoods and zippers. All wigs and other acoutrements are ordered and a number of weapons are complete. T-Minus three weeks to go.

Pint of Lies

Interesting. I distinctly recall having at least some creative input on this one.

Fluid ounce of clarification

As I recall it, the primary idea and progression of the comic was my creation, while Jonathan contributed the dialogue in the final panel and worked out the implementation-related details. The point stands that my outline of the comic did not include me in any way, regardless of the fact that Jonathan made no effort to change that during the course of production.

As for continuity, I figured that by now we had established that all three of us were present at the location of the Daves. By contrast, part 4 marked our arrival at the scene. Had we not shown (even a silly picture of) Jonathan then, it might not have been clear that he had arrived there with us.

This has been a busy week. Rest assured that there will be a comic, probably tomorrow. I have started it, at least. In the mean time, keep yourself occupied with this.
