We went fishing this weekend. Quite successfully, I might add. We made a delicious stock of something like 12 bluefish and one mackerel. Or their skeletons, at least. And some general seasonings, of course. We have several quarts of condensed stock in our freezer now. We'll never run out!

The other fish in this comic are courtesy Umihara Kawase, a truly magnificent Super Nintendo game of Newtonian mechanics. It's like Bionic Commando except you play as a young girl and your grapple is a fully elastic fishing line.

So if you haven't yet... Read the comic first, then read my thoughts. Right... So this was not how I, at least, envisioned this comic when we were talkign about it. To me the idea was that we were watching an elaborate ice capades style show starring all anthropomorphic fish. This show was "Fish on Ice," which is where the title came from. That was a HUGE part of the joke to me... This is REALLY not how it comes across though, and to me this is a dreadfully unfunny comic. The best made plans, etc. etc.

I think that the comic captures the feel of watching elaborite fish-scating perfectly.

The fish are ice skating. In an ice rink. There isn't really much else to say.

This idea was never actually funny. However, you seemed to like it so much that I just let it go. Lesson learned, I guess.
